In support of President Biden's Federal Sustainability Plan, the Biden Administration is launching an interactive speaker series for Federal employees to hear from dynamic and thought-provoking leaders and innovators within the climate and sustainability space. Through this series, employees will enhance their sustainability and climate literacy, learn more about the President's Federal Sustainability Plan and their critical role in the shift to more sustainable and resilient operations.
The primary audience for this series is Federal and military employees. Event registration is free. Advance registration is required and space is limited. The White House is not providing certificates of attendance for this series or providing certificates for watching the event recordings. Recordings from past events are available below and hosted on The White House YouTube channel.

The White House Office of the Federal Chief Sustainability Officer's Sustainability Speaker Series for the Federal Community kicks off on Wednesday, January 19 at 2:00 p.m. ET with a discussion on tackling climate change with Dr. Katharine Hayhoe. The 2020s is a decisive decade for the world to keep global warming below 1.5°C. In this inaugural event of the Sustainability Speaker Series for the Federal Community, join Dr. Hayhoe as she untangles the complex science connecting our choices to future impacts, presents climate solutions underway, and highlights how the nation's 4.2 million Federal employees can help tackle the crisis.
Dr. Hayhoe is a prominent climate scientist, a Distinguished Professor and Endowed Chair in the Department of Political Science at Texas Tech University, and Chief Scientist for The Nature Conservancy. She has served as a lead author for many key reports on climate change, including the most recent U.S. National Climate Assessment.
